These terms apply to journey enquiries and bookings made with GFC TRAVEL through this website, by telephone, email or WhatsApp. Please read them before requesting a journey.
1. Contacting GFC TRAVEL
Email gfctraveluk@gmail.com, telephone 0151 272 3461 or WhatsApp 07947 306475. The identity and business address of the contracting operator and applicable licensing details must be supplied with your quotation before a booking is accepted.
2. Requests and confirmation
Submitting a form or receiving a reference number records an enquiry. It does not guarantee a vehicle, availability or a confirmed booking. A booking is accepted only when GFC TRAVEL explicitly confirms the journey details and agreed fare. Please check that confirmation and contact us promptly about errors. Private hire journeys must be pre-booked and operated under the appropriate licences.
3. Your journey details
Give accurate pickup and destination addresses, dates, UK local pickup times, contact details, passenger numbers, luggage and, where relevant, flight information. Mention child-seat, accessibility or other practical travel requirements before confirmation so we can agree a suitable arrangement. Do not put medical records or sensitive documents in the general enquiry form. Each return leg must be included in the booking confirmation.
4. Prices and additional charges
The confirmed quotation states the total fare, including applicable taxes and any agreed parking, tolls, airport charges or other extras. Website prices apply only to the described route and vehicle and remain subject to confirmation. Changes to the route, additional stops, waiting time or other extras must be explained and agreed before an additional charge is incurred. We do not impose an undisclosed cancellation or waiting-time tariff.
5. Payments
Pay using the method and deadline agreed in your confirmation. Cash to the driver is available when agreed. Selecting cash on the website does not mark a booking as paid. Where online checkout or a payment link is offered, SumUp handles the payment. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay availability depends on the checkout, account and device. GFC TRAVEL does not collect card numbers or security codes through its booking form. Never send card details by email or WhatsApp. Payment alone does not replace journey confirmation.
6. Changes, cancellations and refunds
Contact us as soon as possible to amend or cancel, quoting your reference. Changes depend on availability and may require a revised fare. Any cancellation, waiting-time or no-show charge must have been clearly disclosed and accepted before confirmation, be fair, and reflect recoverable loss after reasonable steps to reduce it. If no such charge was agreed, we will not apply a new fixed cancellation fee. An enquiry cancelled before acceptance incurs no booking charge.
If we cancel and cannot provide an alternative you accept, we refund payment for the unprovided service. Any other refund due will be explained and processed promptly, normally to the original payment method. These terms do not remove any statutory refund or other consumer rights.
7. Pickups, delays and passenger safety
Be ready at the confirmed pickup point and keep the contact number available. Tell us about flight or travel changes. We will take reasonable care to perform the agreed journey and communicate significant delays. Allow suitable time for flights and appointments. If a driver cannot locate you, reasonable contact attempts should be made before treating the booking as a no-show. Unsafe, threatening or unlawful conduct may result in refusal or termination of travel where justified. Seat belts, legal passenger capacity and luggage limits must be respected.
8. School runs and regular arrangements
School transport and recurring or account work require a separate confirmed arrangement covering the schedule, responsible contacts, safeguarding and any additional contract requirements. A website description does not itself create a school transport contract. A driver enquiry does not guarantee work or create an employment agreement.
9. Responsibility and complaints
We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights remain unaffected. Report a complaint using the contact details above, including the booking reference, date and what happened, so we can investigate.
10. Privacy, changes and applicable law
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information. Keep your private journey link secure. These terms may be updated for future bookings; the terms agreed when your booking was accepted apply to that booking. English law applies, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections or court rights available where they live in the UK.
